Accommodation

The CT 56 is renowned for its spacious center-cockpit design, combining true bluewater capability with exceptional liveaboard comfort. Designed by renowned naval architect Robert Perry and built by Ta Chiao Shipyard, the yacht offers a remarkably generous interior layout highlighted by extensive teak joinery, abundant storage, and excellent separation between owner and guest accommodations.

Entering from the secure center cockpit, wide companionway stairs with beautifully crafted wooden handrails descend into the expansive main saloon. To port is a large settee, while to starboard are two comfortable lounge chairs, creating an inviting living area ideal for entertaining or relaxing underway. Additional features include a custom cocktail table and liquor cabinet, a full navigation station, and a raised bar overlooking the galley with classic brass-stooled seating.

Moving aft, a dedicated laundry cabinet houses a new Splendide combination washer/dryer. Adjacent is a spacious dining area with a custom folding bench, comfortably seating six to eight guests. Opposite, the fully equipped galley is exceptionally well suited for extended cruising and liveaboard life, featuring a Princess three-burner propane stove with oven, separate Grunert refrigerator and freezer systems, extensive pantry storage, and abundant cabinetry.

The full-beam owner's suite aft provides exceptional privacy and comfort. Centered around a queen-size island berth with a custom mattress, the stateroom also features matching his-and-her settees, a vanity with mirror, generous hanging locker space, and extensive storage throughout. The ensuite head is equipped with a new Raritan Elegance electric toilet with selectable fresh- or raw-water flush and a marble sink. A separate stand-up shower compartment with teak bench completes this luxurious owner's retreat.

Forward of the saloon are two private guest cabins along with a converted V-berth area currently configured as a workshop, storage room, and oversized custom chain locker. The port guest cabin features a full-size berth, vanity, marble sink, and private electric head. To starboard, a second guest cabin offers similar accommodations, including its own private electric head and marble sink. A dedicated shower stall separates the forward guest accommodations, providing comfort and privacy for extended cruising guests.

Throughout the yacht, lighting has been upgraded to modern LED fixtures, including dedicated red night-sailing illumination. Combined with the yacht's generous beam, center-cockpit configuration, and thoughtfully updated systems, the accommodation plan delivers the comfort, storage capacity, and functionality expected of a serious long-range cruising yacht.

Sleeps up to eight owners and guests in three private cabins, with additional occasional berths available in the saloon. The layout is ideally suited for offshore passagemaking, extended cruising, or full-time liveaboard living.

Owners Comments and Boat History

Current owner of 13 years and only the second owner. Custom built for the original owner, who sailed the yacht in the Mediterranean for the first 13 years of her life. Purchased in 2013, she has since been shipped several times between the U.S. East Coast and the USVI. She has never been chartered and has been enjoyed solely as a gently used family yacht.

A major refit was completed in 2019, and the yacht has been continuously maintained and upgraded ever since. She is consistently regarded as one of the most beautiful yachts in any harbor, whether at anchor, dockside, or under sail. Beautiful, safe, exceptionally well-equipped, and offering outstanding accommodations, she is a pleasure to sail, cruise, or simply enjoy as a comfortable waterfront home.
